Puppy Package Manager (dotpup/petget) i18n

#1 Post by shinobar »

The Puppy Package Manager i18n'ed, should work on Puppy-4.3.1 and later.
Update:
Download petget-20120418.pet from here.

Based on the L18L's i18n dotpup.
Available language support is now only German, Hungarian, Japanese and Russian.
Calling for the translations. The .pot files are at /usr/share/doc/nls/dotpup.

It includes some improvement in the user interface from the original other than i18n.
The splash indicates PPM is running, so that you can see when the proccess is finished.
Fix was wrong dependency message at uninstall.
Note: it does not include zigbert's new GUI.

UPDATED: petget-20111130.pet
  1. Sync with the recent woof(18 Nov 2011)
  2. Fix the menu was reverted to English at install/uninstall
  3. Always show splash to avoid to be silent
  4. Avoid in some kernels(slacko/dpup) and some hardware got freeze under PUPMODE=13
    See:
    http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... &start=315
  5. Avoid was messing up with save interval=0 under PUPMODE=13
See the report at last posts on the pupsaveconfig and no save:
    http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... &start=106
The problem occurs because the PPM saves the files not to the RAM but directly to the save layer for the flash install.
