Don570. No I havent tested. I have kept my self out of MacPup, so that I dont have too much influence from it. I dont want to disturb runtt21 with getting ideas from his great Puplet. MacPup has evolved during years and I respect it.
But I can try to find out what that floating clock is. If it is e17 normal stuff, there should not be too big obstacles to include it as optional module. Could you check if you can find out what module produces it.

The floating clock acts differently than a module .

It might be a special type of shelf.
It can be placed on any edge like a shelf,
and then be made to float above Rox windows
like a shelf and it can be made to disappear
and reappear if user does a ' mouse-over'

So it seems more like a shelf than a module to me.

I'll investigate more.

to James C.

Maybe that how it was done??

I'll check when I get home , however Macpup has a clock
that is more appropriate to floating above a document window.

EDIT: Macpup's developer gave me an answer.
There's good info here

About floating, I understood that you mean that the clock does not autohide ?
James C answer sounds ok for that feature.
Clock skin. The clock takes it skin from theme. Different theme, different clock outlook. That much I know.

Yes, James C is right.

However, the clock in Macpup is better for floating above a document.

I don't think seamonkey and mhwaveedit like each other

I have a 256meg machine and seamonkey seems to go nutty.
Look at this 'top' picture. Seamonkey is a RAM monster.

110% of RAM !!!! I think there is a strange interaction with mhwaveedit.

Don570. If yout get 200 % RAM usage, you get virtually 512 Mb Ram. Lol.
I have pondered with idea to switch to the FIrefox 7.0 in next test build. 7.0 has some real innovations to reduce RAM usage. Up to 50 %.

using sm 2.4 something and ff 7.0.1 in several different pups lately and find using ff more. the latest Iron 13 doesn't seem so fast for what it's worth.

Hi Pemasu,
Here is a little update for mradiogui - added the option to play or test radio streams without adding to favorites.

Here is an alternative JWm them switcher - it doesn't have any theme preview images but it does address the lack of name for current theme in use and the problem if you have lots of themes the gui running of the bottom of the screen.

It also works with my pti ( puppy theme info ) script. 8)

Thanks stu90. I will check your scripts. Mradiogui goes to the multimedia section surely. It is simple and working radio gui for mplayer. I like these simple solutions.
Jwm theme goes to the Desktop section. I test it first.

Thanks Tman. The tray problem is fixable I am sure. I remember that 01micko did some tricks for Icewm before openbox time. I dont remember what and why some tweaks were needed, but the information is there somewhere.....lol....

I have now quite precious time due to new woof and all the work to be done so that I can make my first test build.

I have quite hard days the rest of the week due to my job. I also have meeting with my old university friends at the weekend. We meet once a year and update the gap of our livings with each other. We start the saturday by visiting medical museum of Helsinki. So...my hours with Puppy are really limited next days. So...I post really shortly....mostly....
And....today I used 3 hours in national park picking cantharellus tubaeformis. I found a lot....Next I need to clean them and start to dry them.
Example pic of them (not my taken)

Hi pemasu:
It is already a few days That i have installed Dpup exprimo 5X8 on my desktop, a Gateway DX200S pent 4 3GHz, with Intel graphic. I have been test driving it quite a while. Everythings is working well. Today I tried to install Kmymoney from PPM. Then I noticed that it also needs to install numerous packages, over 179 MB, of indepencies. So, I cancelled the installation.
What happend? All your puppies, snow, ice, polar download and install Kmymoney with no dependency requirement.

Dpup Exprimo is Debian based, not Ubuntu Lucid based. Maybe that has an impact.

When I start Exprimo for the first time and select a specific graphic
driver ('nv' in my case) I DON'T have any problem booting
to the enlightenment screen.

It's 'Probe' that seems to cause the problem of first time booting for me.
