Very good news.
Great slideshow.
Optimised came out the second day of 1.09CE development and contained most if not all of what I felt 1.09CE should be. It was a superb piece of work, with extra security, a great bright interface and extra codecs making Puppy very usable.
As we concentrated on 1.09CE (the CE stands for Community Edition) with Firefox and XDG menus, Optimised was forgotten.
Not by Kenny.
I hope the new one is as stable. Usable it was. Already from the look of it, there still exists a superb looking Puppy. This time with a little publicity and promotion more people might become aware of its benefits. I hope so.
Kenny has also produced KDE-Puppy which is the fastest implementation of a KDE distro - Ever! (it retains the Puppy advantage). I know Kenny (aka Klh) you have been working on the XDG menus, making Puppy compliant and offering a better menu layout. Right? What else?
Tell us all about it?
Look forward to it . . .

Take your time - get it right
And then tell people about it . . .
The last Optimised was pretty amazing - who I wonder used it? I went straight to Puppy 1.09 Beta (at the time) and used the first Optimised for maybe a day - I just thought this is neat - will it be developed. Very pleased it is.
Do you have a list of programs? Is it based on 2.01?

I liked what you did last time around also, was just a little too busy to give more than just a cursory glance at the time. And then I somehow destroyed my copy. Will you be using Spruce email again? I wanted to try that out.
If there's anything I can do to help by all means ask, I enjoyed our last collaboration on the Downloader. Would like to get more community style projects going.
Nathan

Is this based on 1.09CE? In that case I would love to try it. I would also like to see a detailed list of changes and additions so that I can make some suggestions myself, and become more involved in the development of this project as a community effort. I am especially interested in helping, refining and troubleshooting this puppy, not by making it just another KDE distribution but using smaller and different programs and window managers. Most importantly keeping it small enough to run in RAM since to me the speed is the key reason why I use Puppy in the first place. Please keep up the good work klh.

Elements of speed (we will be using Barebones 2.02 as a basis) are incorporated in our CE (Community Edition) Puppy iniatative
which is in its second day of development . . .
