The Ace Of Penguins

#1 Post by JSonic »

Ace of Penguins webpage
The Ace of Penguins is a set of Unix/X solitaire games based on the ones available for Windows(tm) but with a number of enhancements.
I've made a PET for this.

Also downloadable from there:

64bit version in Smokeys repo works in both Fatdog64 700 and Wary64 6.999999 beta. The one in Fatdog64_700 offical package manager works but menu broken.
Get these great set of games

I just loaded smokey's 64-bit program into Xenialpup 7.5. It loads, and all the games run, but Canfield, Minesweeper, Taipei, TaipeiEdit, and a couple others initially load the border around the game board, but it almost instantly disappears. At that point the only way to end or cancel the game is to go into the process manager and kill it. Anyone know a solution for this?

Right-click the program's tab on the taskbar and click "close".

I wonder why that's happening... I searched for ace of penguins in Xenialpup's package manager and found a version 1.5 one from the Ubuntu repository that doesn't seem to have this problem.

Thanks, mostly_lurking. I asked the wrong question. What I really meant was 'does anyone know how to fix the programs?' You can also close any of the games by simply hitting the Esc key.

However, I installed the 1.5 version you mentioned, and it does seem to work just fine. Solution to previous question is now academic.

Thanks again.
