pemasu it's interesting that you continue to have problems with gFTP changing permissions.

I don't think I have ever experienced that problem here and I use it all the time.

I wonder if there might be another reason.?

The execute row is unticked by Gftp. It informs that permissions are changed when it unticks the execute row. It does not happen always and everytime it is the first upload when it happens.
By execute row, I mean the permissions box in gFTP.

I had many problems with gFTP, permissions and countless disconnections. I moved to FileZilla and my life is much better now

Rebooted,no go. Uninstalled Updater pet.rebooted and reinstalled Updater pet....same results.Obviously my internet connection is working because I've been logged on the forum....

The script pings that site and if it does not get response, it gives that error message you got.

pemasu, you are Scandinavian with English as a second language and is a common occurrence to sound "harsh" in English. don't sweat it.

Has to do with how our crazy english language uses prepositions and grammatical particles for words to help denote grammatical categories such as mood. It is easier to tell what the speaker means when spoken as opposed to when written.

Reinstalled Updater pet.Removed requested lines from/usr/bin/dpup-update. Successfully downloaded and installed update.
That took care of it.

pemasu I have just downloaded the latest Filezilla 3.5.

It seems to works ok as I uploaded it to my site using itself.

I will repackage it to a .PET tonight but it works fine if extracted to /

Thanks Smokey01. I will test it. I have used Filezilla only in Snow Puppy and Ice Puppy and I didnt have permission change problems with it. So I join with Iguleder, I have only positive experience of Filezilla. It just is much bigger than gFTP.

left the pet in root and clicking installed it. notice double entries leafpad and open with leafpad with right click.

Thank you jim3630. Still work to do. I leavy the door open for other reports and then I fix all the found doubles. There should not be many left.

About that error code. Needs also investigation.

Installed Updater pet,launched from menu and got a yellow dialog box about lack of internet connection and error message.However, never actually lost the internet connection.
Unable to locate a /root/Dpup Exprimo Updater.log.

I have this issue also and not only for the Installed Updater pet.
I just got it for Idrivepanel, but other applications end the same way.

Is it possible to have a startup script to run
/usr/sbin/set_hwclock_type

For those of us that run a linux only machine
we must select 'software to match machine' option
otherwise my clock is 4 hours off.

Only a good program can handle this beast properly

You can compile zathura to open 1024 pixel wide
by changing a line in /zathura-0.0.8.4/config.def.h
before compiling.

Whenever there is a panel at the top of the screen, I find
that there is confusion when I move my mouse to the top
of the screen to move a window. Panels are best at the bottom
of the screen. Apple Mac OS X is a good example of this.

I downloaded the latest 5.X.3 last night and have not been able to get network access. I have only tried frisbee.

hi Terry, i have BCM4313 which is the wl.ko driver and connected without issue using frisbee. This list shows the 4312 also as wl.ko driver. it can be confirmed with
