I replaced Puppy-526 with Puppy-527 hoping that Firefox would work better.
It crashes at any given moment and really crashes when playing any videos.

The Grub menu still lists 526 even though the menu.lst file doesn`t have it!
I removed all of Grub`s backup menu.lst.xxxxx files, and it still shows 526 !!!

Must be another file that Grub is using instead of: /mnt/sda1/boot/grub/menu.lst

Did you do any repartitioning when you changed Puppies?

No, but I did have to run grub to fix the HD`s boot sector.
Rewrote the menu.lst file after that and it doesn`t seem to be used by grub.

I think Grub`s using the second drive`s dir.: /boot , why I don`t know.
It should use the one on the first boot drive: /sda1

I`ll try renaming the /boot dir. and see if that fixes it.
