First of all. This woof build is based on Iguleders work. He has single-handed done all the work for reviving dpup. I just have continued the work. All the thanks goes to Iguleder...he has awakened dpup again.

I have now Iguleder`s 2.6.39.4 kernel. So kernel modules are compatible. Shinobar has uploaded Nvidia driver packages.

Dpup Exprimo 5.X.15 has been uploaded.

Just my first uploaded file had changed permissions. I even saw when gftp announced that the file permissions are changed. I just clicked the file upload tab and didnt do anything to change permissions. Then I forgot to check what it did. It was that main iso file. All the other files had read permissions all right.
It was the first launch of gftp in this build. And it did it again.
Well otherwise it worked ok. I would say usual gftp upload instance.

Pemasu maybe I kindly ask you to explain this text?

it has its quirks. When you first boot and get X, change icons and then back and then the drives unmount tickable X is shown.

What does that mean?
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

This has been built with latest woof. Which utilizes pngoverlay utility. Barry Kauler has made new scripts to use pngoverlay. It means that there is now only one set of drive icons. Pngoverlay creates the frame around mounted ones and there is unmount x tab in the upper corner of the drive icon. Click it and the drive unmounts. Barry has explained all this in his blog.

Now the quirk. That process described above does not work before you have changed the icons or just changed the same set of icons. They will be loaded and then the pngoverlay works. So....launch icon swithcer. Select even same icons. There is only 3 icon sets in this build as Iguleder has wanted. And after reloading of icons....mounted drive icons get that frame and tickable x.

Billtoo. Yep. I uploaded now the right md5sum. I had several builds in my sandbox3 and I uploaded the previous build md5sum.
So...the right md5sum is uploaded and it is: ba090d9fbaf81dad17fac0467004be3a

I have to say that you are so fast that I dont have time to check things. I should have made my post little later. I just dont have much time left today. So I posted it quickly after upload.

Pemasu,

Would running fixmenus once, at startup fix your pngoverlay problem?
...downloading.

Tman. I dont know. I just yesterday understood what causes that mounted drive icon not showing problem and how to fix it. I havent experimented with it more. I know that Barry has posted that there is still work to do with pngoverlay utility.

I will try it. I thought it might work becuase the desktop-icon-switcher calls upon fixmenus, but it might also have to do with the actual recopying of the png files instead.

Edit:
Well, typing fixmenus at startup didn't fix the pngoverlay problem. I noticed that 10 extra png files were created in "/usr/local/lib/X11/pixmaps" once the icon_switcher was run. This puplet feels very snappy.

Billtoo. Maybe I should post link to kernel source sfs. Not all are as clever as you that they can find the right kernel source immediately.

The mounted drive icon and pngoverlay problem is probably due to missing bacon stuff. Iguleder just posted about it in his original thread. He will inspect about it in the near future. Check his thread also.

Like most Dpup and spup??? it fails to show 1024 x 768 so I had to go over to 800 x 600 to get F11 to show full screen on my Acer D250

I can confirm the icon thing But I did nothing about it. Too lazy.
SM worked well with our local tv station
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

Thank you of the reports. I noticed that gparted is old. Dpup uses static gparted so it would need compiling it against static libs. Well...I did it for spup. I could do it again for dpup. I have those needed libs still available. But not now...

Since I left office applications out, I gave possibility to install what you need and use. I tested the Libre Office 3.4.1 sfs from the Polarpup first page link. It worked. I dont know if the fix I made is needed in dpup but it does not harm.

Iguleder has installed goffice and abiword from the squeeze repo. They need some dependencies also, but they work. Iguleder tested and posted that he couldnt find problems with squeeze repo appications.
I can post those needed dependencies if somebody wants them. You can find helpful remarks from /root/.packages/DISTRO_PKGS_SPECS file. There is clear notes what dependencies you need for abiword, goffice and gnumeric. Iguleder has done splendid job when he created his specs file. It is so clear.

But I will use anyway Libre Office. Soon they should post the next version if it is not already announced. I havent checked.
