Personal Settings Not Saved

#1 Post by Rog3236 »

I have the program installed on a 1GB USB stick running on a Windows 7 OS Dell computer. Installation went fine however my personal settings are not saved even when I elect to have them saved, i.e. every time I select e-mail I am asked to set up a new account. Every time I select browser I have to download one even though I had set one as a default.

How did you set up the flash drive - using Puppy or some other program like Unetbootin?

Look on the flash drive and find the file syslinux.cfg. Post its contents here.

also good idea to make a save file before loading any new programs.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected

Opps forgot to answer a question. I installed it from Windows by using the link described here:

Delete the "pfix=ram" from the last line of the syslinux.cfg file.
