Do you still need this old mirror for 108?
http://dotpups.de/isos/
When version 2 becomes official, I'd like to remove it, as I run out of space.
But I could mirror version2 for some days, to spread the traffic in the first days of massive download.
But I must look first, how much traffic we get by the new Hacao2.
When Puppy2 was released, we nearly reached the same traffic we had, when the server crashed after Hacao 106 was presented in the vietnamese Echip-magazine.
So I must be more carefull with mirroring Isos now

Puppy for Nokia
I am sure I added this to the wiki news but must have dreamt it . . .
It was a great headline "Puppy ready for next billion users", showing how we are prepared for the next 10 years of Internet and computer growth.
I recently saw a documentary about Shamballah / Shangri-la (which was the Tibetan Kings hidden palace / town, built into a mountain and overlooking a farmed garden valley). On the trip to get there (now in disuse) talking to local poor Nepalise; what did they want? Computers?
Mobile phones.
Puppy for Nokia anyone?
Gosh seem to have wandered off-topic . . . Congrats on Chinese Puppy

Year of the dog
This really must be the year of the dog - of Puppy.
Maybe Puppian can email (in Chinese, of course), the OLPC China contingent about this news.
And about the device, it must be the Chinese Municator (oh, could I say this in the same post that I mentioned OLPC?).
Congratulations!!!

I'm not sure if nyu would be releasing any stable version of 2.00, probably not. So replacing the mirror for 108 with puppy_2.00_chinese_beta001.iso would be fineMU wrote:Do you still need this old mirror for 108?

There probably won't be too many traffic because the iso had been released a few days already (I think many people had downloaded it before I knew it's released as I hadn't been online for a couple of days ). Also the throttling mentioned before is still working.MU wrote:to spread the traffic in the first days of massive download.
And Raffy, where can I find the contact of the OLPC China contingent?

Well many Chinese are having dogs as their pets nowadays, not as dishes anymore
