Liferea (Linux Feed Reader) - (SOLVED)

#1 Post by chrome307 »

Hi there

Can some convert this .pup to a .pet for me?

*Liferea 1.0.21* ( added as an attachment to this post)

which I download from here:

http://dokupuppylinux.co.cc/programs:rs ... []=liferea

This an old build which I hope works with Puppy 431.

I have attempted to compile the latest build available here:

Homepage:

http://liferea.sourceforge.net/

Latest Stable: 1.6.4
https://sourceforge.net/projects/lifere ... z/download

and Latest Unstable: 1.7.4

https://sourceforge.net/projects/lifere ... z/download

However this was not possible with 4.31 and I have also tried this with Lucid 5.01.

With Lucid 5.01 it tells me that I need to update WebDev ( ? ) or change a 'symlink'.

If anyone can do any of the above for me I would appreciate it.

I would like this for Puppy Linux 4.31.

Regards

@ samedog

Thank you very much for giving me the support in compiling this particularly if you going to do both builds ( stable/unstable ).

Regards

[EDIT]

I have just tried it on a stripped down build of Puppy Linux 4.31 ( OS Browser LInux ), unfortunately it doesn't start up. It does create a .desktop icon to run from. I will try later on an official build of Puppy Linux, just in case my OS has some necessary files removed.

Thanks again!

[EDIT]

I have tried it on a stable full build of Puppy Linux 4.31 and it fails to run :(

Just to let others know this works well in Lucid 5.25.
