I removed GIMP and Audacity, as they almost double the iso size, and I felt they wouldn't be too useful for the average user. Software has been updated, new themes were added, roxicons is on by default, and lots of cool wallpapers are included

There is a small, older GIMP here: http://ppm.scottjarvis.com/office/draw/ ... ripper.pet (3.68mb)
Also, instead of Audacity, maybe add mhWaveEdit, which is small, but effective: http://gna.org/projects/mhwaveedit

It works very good and I thank you for not keeping it BLACK on BLACK with more BLACK. As you can see I am using it right now. I did install Firefox 4.0 and a few other programs to make it better for my use.

I love the range of wallpapers included - probably why this is such a big download.
Just one question, I minimised the web browser & normally there is a panel at the bottom of the screen, so how do I maximise/restore it again?
Have you done something to the Pup Control as it seems to me alot better than the last version I tried?

Hi P123,
I believe you can middle-click anywhere on the desktop or screen border (in case you are using a maximized window) and get taskbar functionality.
Isn't OpenBox awesome?

SlimPup 2.1 is done. I removed Chrome and replaced it with a modified version of Midori 0.2.2. I may update it to 0.3.6 within the next few updates.

Can you do a release with Firefox? How about doing a 64 build?
I like to use 2.0 release and I think this openbox thing is growing on me. The best thing I like is everyone does not know what you are doing. I guess you could do some of the other desktops that to. Thanks for putting some color in your build because so many openbox releases look like dead are a black holes on SYFY movies That is BLACK on BLACK with a little more BLACK.

Re: SlimPup 2.0
I removed Chrome to give the user more of an option to choose their default browser, since if they were interested in changing the browser, they would probably be connected to the Internet anyway xDl2ulinux wrote:Can you do a release with Firefox? How about doing a 64 build?

Also, I added lots more themes, and changed the default GTK theme to Dyne.
I might add GIMP back within the next few updates, and possibly Firefox, like you suggested.
As for a 64-bit version, I don't know, because the 32-bit version works well on any system, regardless of being 64-bit or 32-bit (I'm on a 64-bit machine right now) Also, 32-bit distros -- from my experience -- have more compatibility and higher success rate of getting odd things to work.

I used SlimPup 2.0 for Internet TV last night. It worked very well during the time. The video was great, no lagging and only problem was the sound crashed after about 5 hours and the web browser had to be rebooted. This is a problem I have found with many Linux releases. No matter what web browser is used.
I know there is many thing have to be changed to go the 64 way. Almost all programs were build on a 32 base and will not work with 64 bit OS's. I find they are more sable than 32 bit.

Very good work on 2.1. It is snapper than the other releases. The only problem I found so far is the problem with the sound crashing after 5 1/2 hours of use watching SG1 on justin.tv.
Please keep up the good work.
