Realtek ALC889 not working on Pippy 5.25

I'm trying for days to use Skype and other audio apps on my machine.
Unfortunately it is impossible to make the microphone working. Also speaker is low.
Audio is working fine under W7 (double boot).

Could somebody help me ???

What have you tried? I don't remember for sure, but I think Lucid Puppy has the Retrovol mixer. You can open it from Menu -> Multimedia. Just turn on everything you find in Retrovol.

strange ......

retrovol not in the menu but it's ok from the console.

Looks like alsamixer.

I turn on everything and i'm still more puzzling :

Mic seems to works ( signal on Audacity recording )

BUT speaker is now off ( I tried skype as well same result )

I'll reboot and will check again.

OK it's working now ... frankly I do not understand why :

1) retrovol : mic OK / speaker not OK
2) AlsaWizad : no sound
3) reboot : Mic OK no sound
4) retrovol ???
5) Alsawizard : sound OK
6) retrovol all on evrything OK
