Puppy - One of Best Ever Linux Desktops DVD

#1 Post by ICPUG »

Linux User and Developer magazine have just released their 100th edition.

To celebrate they have a special issue with 2 DVDs in an 'Ultimate Linux Pack'.

The banner to the pack says:

10 Bootable Distros
Test drive the best ever Linux desktops

Puppy is on the DVD!

That means Puppy is now appearing in all the three Linux Magazines that appear in the UK.

May I predict that we get a lot of questions from new puppy users that expect it to work like all the others doing full install and using restricted user permissions and them getting really scared knowing them are root.

But puppy are not alone doing root. Some of the Slax and and similar seems to have that policy. Nimblex if I remember but them not even in the top 20 on DW so we get all the heat.
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though
