Here are some font packs, each consists of two packages, one has just the common fonts in regular and bold variants, and the "-extra" package has the rest.

Great for those who stick with older puppies and need good fonts, those who use recent puppies and want the latest and greatest fonts and those who write and read a lot, like me.

Also great for puplet developers!

For size: install just the regular and bold fonts.
For looks: install everything.
My suggestion: size, you won't notice any difference anyway.

The font packages are:
- DejaVu - wonderful TTF fonts, the default fonts of Puppy, but with Arabic and Hebrew gylphs for those of us who don't live in Europe or the US and need those (me included!)
- Liberation - great fonts that have the metrics of many common Microsoft fonts used in web pages, make the web prettier
- Libertine - a great general-purpose font, awesome for documents and presentations
- Cantarell - somewhat similar to the Ubuntu font, GNOME 3's new font
- Ubuntu - the Ubuntu font family
