Hmmm.
Sounds like someone who has never actually tried linux... only heard propaganda from the Microsoft jihadists.
Linux shouldn't really break... and if it doesn't work in the first place you simply download another live CD :)

It looks like an old joke that has been partly updated. Years ago, I recompiled the kernel several times before being happy with what I got. Lately, I don't do that.

I really prefer the "trouble shooting chart" that has boxes and arrows. Among the things on it I found funny were:

Question: Is it broken?
No arrow to: Leave it the &*%$ alone
Yes arrow to: Does anyone know yet?
No arrow to: Can you hide it?
No arrow to: Can you blame someone else?
Yes arrow to: No problem then!

There was a "fiddle it at random" "does it work now" loop

They missed a step:

Place large pile of thermite on computer and ignite!

Watch in awe and joy as computer melts into pool of slag... :lol: :lol: :lol:
