Here is how I installed Java in Puppylinux 5.25
Puppylinux Lupu 5.25 Live CD
Firefox 4
java (jre_1.06_17_431.sfs
------
click File icon on desktop
click Eye icon to un-hide folders
click .mozilla
right click in window and select new --> directory
create new folder plugins
download ( http://www.mediafire.com/?3jvmmzn2tlg)
and place the jre_1.06_17_431.sfs file in a separate ext2, 3, or 4 partition
open that partition and click the jre file to mount it.
in the new window click usr --> java --> jer1.6.0_17 --> lib --> i386
navigate to liibnpjp2.so and drag it to the .mozilla/plugins folder and create a relative link.
close windows and restart Firefox 4 java is now enabled.
