I have discovered another technique to use custom icons with Thunar. Just make file named "/root/.gtkrc.mine" and move your custom settings over from the "/root/.gtkrc-2.0" file. When you select a new GTK theme. The .gtkrc-2.0 file will be rewrittien, but the .gtkrc.mine file will stay the same. I discovered this when I installed GrumpyWolfe's thunar pet in Lighthouse Pup. |

Nice! I was going to make a simple script to switch themes instead of manually editing the .gtkrc.mine file, but LXAppearance is way better. http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?mode=attach&id=40189 Thanks alexandrion! And thank you Barry for the thunar-w5 pet. Both will be great additions to a new puplet that I'm working on. |

@ difedepe Take an look at these links but rox is built in. It sounds like if you don't use rox for icons - theses should work. I have tested this .pet (from the wary5 repo at ibiblio) and works in precise, but when I try to delete a file it crashes. If I open thunar again I do see the files in the trash and empty the trash does not crash. It would be great to have this pet fully functional for precise and slacko. |
