Small-pup

#4 Post by Keef »

Thought I'd try the 96mb Small-pup for starters.
Did a manual frugal install - initially it would not boot:
'pup_400.sfs not found'

Well that was because it was called 'pup-400.sfs'.
Changed the hyphen to an underscore and all was well.

It seems to be a Dingo remaster. Kernel version is 2.6.21.7.
Has Firefox 3 'Minefield' and I'm posting from it now. Did not have the rt73usb module for my wifi dongle, but used ndiswrapper with a different one.
Other apps include:
Aqualung
VLC
Xmms
Skype
Gizmo Project VOIP
GtkBasic 3
Edit SFS
SFS combiner
PupSaveConfig

No games, only one calculator, Geany is the only editor, and no games.

Runs quite well actually on this P3 450mhz Armada M700.

Seems to be a problem recognising PCMCIA cards - saw an error on boot up, and mine not showing up.
