How do I get Puppy DVD to open wireless connection on boot?

#1 Post by bokcam »

How do I get my wireless connection to load automatically when I boot? I am a Linux novice.

On Puppy hard drive my wireless is working and loads each time I
boot to Puppy hard drive.

On Puppy live cd (DVD+RW), after boot, I have to enter commands to get wireless working. I am unable to enter the commands that makes Puppy live open the wireless on the next boot up. This Puppy live does update the DVD when requested.

The Puppy on hard drive was created from "puppy-1.0.8r1-mozilla.iso" after it was installed.

The Puppy live--the one that will not load wireless on boot--is "puppy-
multisession-1.0.8r1-mozilla.iso".

My wireless is a Linksys router with a MSI PCI card PC54G2 that uses ralink-cvs-20060323.tar.gz. I followed the instructions for rt2x00 drivers found on rt2x00.serialmonkey.com.
