OOoKids 1.1 + OOoLight 1.0 (office suite)

#1 Post by ASRI éducation »

The suite OO4Kids upgrade to version 1.1

At the same time, the project OOo gives birth to OOoLight. Light version is for general public (it's OOo4Kids with a design "over 12 years").

.pet & .sfs (89 MB) are compatibles with Puppy 431 (and newer)

- Download OOo4Kids & OOoLight en-us http://asri.la-super-boite.fr/ooo/
- OOo project official website http://wiki.ooo4kids.org/index.php/Main_Page

Congratulations to the team OOo (in particular to Eric B. project coordinator).

Best regards,

Thank You, ASRI education!

I just spotted your earlier post on the HSB (or Kidpup) thread and noticed that you now have SFS and PET versions of your OOOlight software in en-us, for 431 (and perhaps slightly older?) versions of Puppy. I'm downloading those now and hope to give you feedback after the weekend when I try them out on my kids in various flavours of puppy (HSB and others),

Merci bien

PS You have a fantastic repository developing there, thank you very much for making that available also

You're welcome ! But, beware because some applications are only compatible with the edutainment of the ASRI education (which includes most dependencies than Puppy/Toutou).

For specific questions, you can use the forum of the ASRI Education http://asri.edu.free.fr/forum.php?lng=fr&cat=4

Best regards,

HI:

I have installed ooolight

But now I not find the way to run it. In the menu it does not appear.

When it finished the installation, there appeared this message (I attach image)

Bonjour yae,

You say true.
One .desktop was bad.
I modified the package.

Can you test the new package and tell me if this is ok ?

Best regards,

It is a pleasure to use. :)
I have your SFS and the Koffice SFS running from the SFS
option on Puppy Lucid 5.2
It is long term usability that is the test

For me, 'ease of use' is the new geek
Thanks for making it available

Best regards,
I also confirm the new package installs entries in the start menu as intended.

downloaded OOoLight suite from your page.

looks good, nice and neat, does just about what I want,
however, the spreadsheet seems to be limited to 256rows, had expected something like 1000rows and32columns. I couldn't see anywhere to config different.

can you advise.

thanks for a good build
