To downgrade Pburn this code should do it
| Code: | [ `echo $TMP | sed -e s/^.*\=//g | tr -d "."` != 330 > /dev/null 2>&1 ] && \
cp -f $APPDIR/pburnrc $HOME/.pburn/pburnrc #Other than this version |
I will include.

Was 3.2.7 when Pburn stopped writing all the random files in / ?
Or does it still write them sometimes?

Barry
I have made an attempt to fix Pburn. 3.3.1 works ok for me in Quirky 1.4, but since I couldn't reproduce your freeze of X, it would be good if you could check it out...
There were 2 main differences between Puppy 5.1.1 and Quirky 1.4:
1.)
icedax in Quirky does not work properly if target/*.inf is set to a hidden dir. - Pburn has the default temporary dir: $HOME/.pburn, and that failed. I have now set default temporary dir to $HOME/my-documents/tmp instead. This bug also occur in Puppy 4.3.1
2.)
The bash (Pburn uses /bin/sh) interpreter is different.
| Code: | | echo "{3.1}" | grep -o "\{3.1\}" |
is true in Puppy 5.1.1 and Puppy 4.3.1, but errors in Quirky 1.4

Correction of the previous post:
Puppy 5.1.1: icedax does NOT place the *.inf files in correct dir if path contains a hidden dir.

Zigbert 'Thank You' for your application, I finally got it working!!
I did attempt to try the additional audio/video options but that did not work for me, I only really needed to burn ISO's, data files and be able to erase discs when needed.
Just to let you know I found this link was not working in your initial post:
Plugins:
- Fixate DVD: close (10 kb) [Not in Puppy]
http://puppylinux.asia/tpp/zigbert/close-dvd+rwtools.pet
I found ( I hope ) a link for it here:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/puppylinux/pet_packages-4/close-dvd+rwtools.pet

Pburn hangs |
|
Pburn hangs when trying to blank a cd/rw in Wary 1.0.2:
| Code: |
# cdrecord -scanbus
wodim: No such file or directory.
Cannot open SCSI driver!
For possible targets try 'wodim --devices' or 'wodim -scanbus'.
For possible transport specifiers try 'wodim dev=help'.
For IDE/ATAPI devices configuration, see the file README.ATAPI.setup from
the wodim documentation.
|
(I guess it will not let me burn anything)
worked flawlessly in Wary 030
Any tip?
Thanks for your support

At which stage (exactly) does it hang?
The error message doesn't point me to any specific part of the code.
Thanks
Sigmund

When I click to Blank CD button in main window, another dialog opens saying it's creating the commandline then hangs.
After trying a couple of tries I had the need anyway to blank my cd so I ended using cdrecord directly from commandline.
My error message, which I posted in Wary 102 topic first, points that, on my hardware, cdrecord can't even find any device so could be this that makes Pburn hang?
What I really need, anyway is the ability tho use my cd recorder...
Thanks for your support

I tried to copy a DVD which seemed to confuse PBurn.
The disk is structured as 8 chapters with a size that varies from 250Mb to 1Gb and the total disk space used was just over 4Gb.
The copy/shrink option was unsuitable because it would only copy 1 chapter when all 8 are necessary for the program.
Since the total used space was just over 4Gb I tried the 'Copy complete disk' option but failed with incorrect size calculations.
