here are some dev tools to help out with mime-types
one is a dragNdrop script mime_type_info_maker that makes a mime type
by dragging an unknown or a known file on to it
it gets placed in /tmp as a safety so it doesnt overwrite anything
just edit the program name you want to use as the default
to open with and place it in /root/Choices/MIME-types
the second is a gtkdialog thingy to edit already installed mimetypes
*I know that the whole mime type inclusion is a complex thing
that I do all manually and this is a step to help simplify things a bit
EDIT small edit to restart script
