Minor issues:

First: Gnumeric working with new pet.

Would you please find and set the spell check on by default in Abiword, been off the last few versions.

Also please add geweled, small and a good time waster Smile

Here's a Gnumeric I compiled on luci, its 1MB less extracted than the previous posted above. I removed the a few deps that puppy 4 series didn't need to run gnumeric and from what I've seen it works fine. Actually its a bit smaller and newer than the quirky version which is always nice to see Smile

you need all three apps to run it, It replaces 3 apps in Luci.

Make sure the new libgsf doesn't break stuff - I compiled the latest wv/libgsf/goffice on spup and Abiword failed to compile. Some stuff that depend on libgsf show errors.

The older gtk could be the reason, though Crying or Very sad

Ubuntu/puppy repo 9.251MB compressed
traditional puppy way without extra deps, doc's 3.218MB
6MB compressed saving compared to what was in Luci 238, when I check the actual installed packages list.

I just check how long I've been running luci 238 straight lol 18 days 2hours 17mins without a crash or reboot, I started with a 12GB pupsave and now its down to 3GB due to all the compiling etc. Probably have to remake a new pupsave tomorrow before I run out.

Been looking at GL games, you need to have an accelerated graphic card (ask Santa) and download the driver in Quickpet Laughing

Lucid 244 run action issue

When clicking on a file and no run action is specified an error message was issued to go to set run action.
This was so up to Lucid 243.
Now in Lucid 244 when no run action is available for a file type, this error message isn't issued anymore and the search why this happens started.
Noobies might not have the reflex to see if a run action is specified and will be kinda lost.

A feature I myself (and I'm sure many others) would like to see in Puppy...

After the first run of Puppy, when shutting down, you are asked If You Want To Save This Session then... To CD or To HD or NOT To Save. This feature would be nice to include in "Every Session" thereafter just before shutdown. It shouldn't take up much space since the commands are already in place for Puppy?

Lots of times you just do research on the net, maybe play a few online games or something than doesn't require a "session save" so why use up space with all those unnecessary save session files? If not feasible, maybe at least a Save or Not Save for the CD function to save space?

If not possible for 5.2 maybe a future version!

Any session.
I often don't know that I don't want to save the session when I start it.
It doesn't have to be an asked question every time, but the option to leave without saving should be there.

Here's a version of abiword that works with/without Goffice and dictionary is turned on by default. I added most used plugins, kind of like like Barry used to do, to keep the overall size down.

Ps if you move Gnumeric to the repo with Goffice this will still work. and save you about 3.1MB compressed.
