I am running a full install of Puppy Linux 5.1 and still very much a noob. Anyway, while i was running 'chkrootkit', i noticed a number of files showing INFECTED. They are:

basename,
inetd,
login,
password,
traceroute,

Is this something that needs immediate action to clear up the system or just a lot of false positives?

Those (probably) false positives result from the listed programs being the ones used by busybox.
