MyWolfe-020

#1 Post by GrumpyWolfe »

Here is my latest offering

This is the start of a new login for MyWolfe. Much thanks to Pizzagood for making the script for this to work. When running the first time you will be asked to create a root login password. This is going to allow those who like to do a full install to be able to keep other people from running there system without their knowledge. I also feel that this is good for everyone else as well to be able to secure their system.

Thank you for taking the time to say something as positive as you have and I just want to make a good distro for puppy fans to use.

I agree with the above post. Your work is always good looking and useful. I like it. Keep it up.

We need more people like yourself who will customise Puppy as they see fit. This gives everyone else a wider choice of setups and puplets/wooflets :)

Seems that I cannot change the desktop background in MyWolfe-020.

[EDIT] I can only get it changed by editing the jwmrc-personal file.

Hello, GrumpyWolfe

You previous work is indeed very good: I actually made your mywolfe version 0.08 into my main production Puppy that I use for writing and for everything else, but...

I'll transmit congratulations for this one after I can login into it... :?

This is not a joke, I'm not making fun... I tried a couple of times to login into mywolfe 0.20, to no avail.

My question is:
Is there a default "first login" one needs to know to get in and then one changes it? or

do we invent any codename and password and type it in directly at first boot?

Thanks in advance.

Just wondering:

When you made the login procedure did you also disable the ctrl-alt-backspace that can by pass the lock application on the desktop?
