What WiFi adapter to choose for a desktop PC?

What works, and doesn't, for you. Be specific, and please include Puppy version.

What WiFi adapter to choose for a desktop PC?

#1 Post by hgpuke »

Hi!
I am about to install Puppy on a fairly old desktop PC (Pentium II @ 233MHz), and would like to find out from you what wireless network adapter (for PCI or USB) that is likely to work out of the box or with minimal fuzz with the latest release of Puppy? Could anyone recommend a brand and model?

Thanks,
Hans-G

D-Link DWL-G520 works with MADwifi

#5 Post by revdoug »

After weeks of thinking that I would never get that cable off my floor I bought the DWL-G520 from CompUSA and got it to work with MADwifi.

I used Tempestous' driver from:

No problems at all!
