Puppy2 -Can't load Ralink rt2500.o driver

#1 Post by tony »

insmod rt2500.0 gets :-

unresolved symbol_netdev_watchdog_up_R2175fd16
skb_under_panic_R667d8e2d
plus 9 more.

rt2500.o worked ok in pup 1.08 and was copied over from another partition.

md5sum checked, rt2500.o checked

Regards Tony.

puppy2 uses a later kernel version 2.4.31, so modules have to be recompiled.
Unless the rt2500.o is already in the full-modules package, to be found at
http://www.puppyos.com/test/

How does "tempestuous" feel about this? None of his drivers work in Puppy 2.

tempestous currently recompiles the xorg-DRI-drivers for K2.4.31

However it is not certain yet, that Puppy2 stays with this Kernel.
Remember, it is an Alphaversion, and there might be a switch to Kernel 2.6..

I think it relys on how reliable Kernel 2.4 is concerning unionfs.
But it is too early, to be more concrete.
