[Wary 030] BusyBox less fails in ipython Subject description: is there a place where I can get a full featured less? |
|
Calling help in ipython less is used to display result but fails in my Wary 030 (this does not happen in Puppeee for example)
| Code: |
# ipython --help
less: invalid option -- 'r'
BusyBox v1.16.0 (2010-01-29 20:42:59 GMT-8) multi-call binary.
Usage: less [-EMNmh~I?] [FILE]...
View a file or list of files. The position within files can be
changed, and files can be manipulated in various ways.
Options:
-E Quit once the end of a file is reached
-M,-m Display status line with line numbers
and percentage through the file
-N Prefix line number to each line
-I Ignore case in all searches
-~ Suppress ~s displayed past the end of the file
|
I wish I can find a version of less with this -r option so i can continue using advanced ipython help and do not rely on python standard help (which uses More)
Any tips?

Hope you realize a Wary 090 is out.
Maybe try this one and if unsuccessful report in the wary 090 thread.

You may had read that a lot of people have problems with wifi connections dropping in ALL new puplets, Wary 090 isn't different. I'm one of those having problems.
That's why I cannot upgrade...
Other tips are much appreciated, thanks.

This is what I always do if I need some extra libs or headers :
Location Bar At The Browser :
Debian Package MyPackage
Starting Google Search
Go to the debian site and start the search ( mostly package content ).
I do not know if debian less has got the -r option but there is also a link to
http://www.greenwoodsoftware.com/less/
(and of course do not forget to rename less to less-BB-NOTUSED)

Thanks Karl, I followed your link, downloaded and compiled, now ipython shows help flawlessly, I made a pet of less if someone needs it.
Cheers
