The folder -=Blender=- must be in the -=tmp=- folder if you want to use the -=Install-Blender.sh=- installation script.

#For closing Blender without pop-up error this trick can be used:
#1)Save your project 2)Go to "File"->"New"->"Erase all"
bash /usr/bin/restartwm `xmessage "Blender with old documentation has been installed."`

Restart of the X-system(for example Xorg) will bring the icons to the desktop.

Permissions for -=Install-Blender.sh=- were changed as shown:
Code:

cd /place_where_Install-Blender.sh_is_located ; chmod u+x Install-Blender.sh

For those who wants to download:
Quote:

http://www.filefactory.com/file/b3dc0d1/n/Blender248a.tar.gz
Code:

d909a37a97a42c37fe9f9b8c9c3195e7  Blender248a.tar.gz

Blender-2.49b with Yafaray would be better, though.
There is a -=blender-2.49b-8.el5.i386.rpm=- in the net, but it was compiled with Python which is not a 2.6.2.
