Firefox VS Seamonkey. Which one is securer?

#1 Post by LinuxFan2010 »

I was wondering. Which (if any) of the above mentioned browsers is securer?

I know both are based on the same Kernel (albeit different versions), but while I like Seamonkey more (easier to manage the flow of incoming cookies and Javascript) I am worried that there might be some remote holes the recent version of Firefox does not have.

It's hard to say. I haven't done any reasearch for this, but I think seamonkey will be more secure. I'm saying this because more people use firefox, so more hackers will look for venerabilities in it.

I don't really think it matters much, though, they are both really good. (unlike IE)

I think both are pretty safe with the NoScript addon.

They use the same base, the same engine though I think the one in Seamonkey might be older than the one in the current Firefox maybe?
