I was reading a page where someone asked for an mplayer theme in the steampunk style. That motivated me to create something for IceWM in that vein. So here is my mod of Golden Mood, to a steampunk-ish style. This only the fifth or so theme I've made (first that I posted) so be kind.

Edit: I forgot to do a few images, I updated the tgz.

Nice one! GoldenMood makes a great base for more elegant themes.

yes, actually im using puppy 4.3.1 from a usb hard disk.
Isnt there any way to fix it??
thanks again

I was fiddling around with the Icewm package for awhile, but then I discovered Lighthouse Pup. It comes with Icewm preinstalled as well as a most of the programs I use so I just switched. It might be worthwhile checking out. Link is in my signature. Besides that, sorry I have no solution. Maybe someone else will have a look.

Wish someone would credit the original author of the Azenis style... I find that everyone and his aunt is taking credit for what was originally the work of Yingjunjiu, and was first published as a Windowblind and an MSStyle years ago!!!

Here's a Star Trek inspired tweak of Xtreme Animated. The file has been corrected.

You can see what it looks like at the following link.

Just for the record, Jemimah has fixed the Icewm in 4.3 problem. With her new pet, menu icons appear and she's put in a shutdown menu. Thanks man!

walter, seems like it misses taskbuttonminimized.xpm I made a symlink to taskbuttonbg.xpm

Anyway, for dpup users I just compiled icewm 1.3.6, see here
It renders themes nicely.

Don't know if it works for other puppy versions, you can try if you feel like.

Sorry about that. I'll re-up the full .zip tomorrow. I had the file in two places and must have grabbed the wrong one. I was experimenting and must have forgotten to transfer it.

I have corrected the file. Look above to my previous post for the download.

Here's my own tweaking of the IceXimian2 theme. I like it for the colors and for its narrow titlebar/taskbar (has 14 pixel titlebar), which work better than usual on a 1024x600 screen.
The differences are small (a little transparency, a few symlinks replaced, and my own menu drawn in mtpaint), but I changed the name.
Posting it in standard tar.gz format, for those who don't have Puppy.

Well there's this, just extract it to which ever folder has the themes, maybe /root/.icewm/themes ?

For transparency you need a composite manager. Ice WM doesnt control that.

/root/.icewm/themes/ or /usr/share/icewm/themes/ will do.
The latter is system-wide, but then Puppy usually is single-user (except Grafpup & Pizzapup).

Transparency--IceWM does do some of that if the theme is designed right (transparent xpms); not sure if it supports translucent xpms though.

I use xcompmgr with transset when I feel like having transparent windows.
From my ~/.icewm/keys (equivalent to /usr/share/icewm/keys):
Code:
key "Ctrl+Alt+c"             xcompmgr -s
key "Ctrl+Alt+Shift+x"          killall xcompmgr
key "Ctrl+Alt+t"             transset .9
key "Ctrl+Alt+x"             gps
key "Ctrl+Alt+e"             xfe ~/
key "Shift+Print"             scrot -u -b
key "Print"                scrot

Since Meta maps to Ctrl + Alt by default (here in Ubuntu--stock IceWM, Puppy may be different), I get
Win+c......start compositing (needed for transparence) with server-side (hard) shadows; you must set transparency for each window to get it
Win+Shift+x.....Get rid of the eye candy--stop compositing
(Note that restarting compositing with Win+c will make it look the same as before Win+shift+x)
Win+t.......set slight translucence where you click
Win+x......Task manager--pick another for best luck (gps is gtk1 from
https://launchpad.net/~ibid-ag/+archive/oldgtk1/+packages; needs the gtk1 libs)
Win+e.......Browse home directory with xfe (must install!)
Printscreen...save screenshot to ~/scrot_<date_etc>.png; needs scrot
Shift+printscreen....Screenshot of active window

Sorry for the long post.
