Here is .pet for Scrot command line including the GUI (under menu>Graphics) so you can run either way. 8)

To test out 01micko 's very handy alien2puppy script i made albumshaper into a .pet
Album Shaper strives to be the most friendly, easy to use, open source application for organizing, annotating, framing, enhancing, stylizing, and sharing your digital photos. Album Shaper embraces open formats like XML, JPEG, and XSLT, while supporting Windows, Mac OS X, and Unix users who speak a multitude of languages around the world.

OK, I had missed that step.

I don't see a difference on my display other than the background so have reverted to the "overtime" background.

Thanks!

playdayz... it would be much better if we can move to BK's newer tray icons. No prob if you want Blinky to look similar, I can hack the xpm files and compile them in, Barry has new functionality for these icons too, will be important to move over to them.

Cheers

EDIT:

I updated the icons and the good news is they aren't compiled in, so any one can change them to whatever they like.

LOL.... the save file icon displays 'danger, running out of space', when everything is OK, it has a green band at the top, yours has a red one at the bottom, which is what it changes to when you are in trouble :)

There is some new stuff in Lupu News. Opera 10.61 and the beta of another browser that people might find interesting.

Neither were the first cards--and nothing else would even acknowledge the extigy or play through the m-audio. What I did is discussed in the post with audacious. I bet it might play your turtle beach usb card tubeguy. With Audacious I do not need to block any cards--I can choose between them.
Thanks Playdayz sounds great will give it a try and report back,

With firefox 3.6.6 is anyone else having problems streaming video (JTV channel) firefox just crashes (football season has started)

Dave, hehe...I probably should re-mention that I compiled in different xpm fles, when space is excellent there are 4 green rings (like doughnuts on a skewer  ), then 3 green rings, then 2 orange rings, then the lonesome red ring.

The exec is in /root/icewm, if you want to use it in Jwm, just comment out the freemem entry in /root/.jwmrc-tray and make a symlink to the one in ~/icewm in ~/Startup

The menu for XFCE comes out the same as the one for LXDE so whatever fixes for one should be the fix for the other. Thanks.

I did a full install on a Dell c400 laptop. All my previous bugs went away. Touchpad is working flawlessly. Firefox does not crash. So far zero bugs for me.

http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dis ... -Lucid.pet
Audacious again. It had frozen on me a couple of times so I was looking at it and noticed that when 10wt3ch had made it that PPM had included libavcodec, libavformat, and libavutil. However, Lucid Puppy already has those libraries, but evidently PPM doesn't see them or something. Anyway, they are big and removing the Ubuntu versions that were originally included in the Audacious pet and using the ones that Puppy already has, reduced the size from 9.9MB to 5.1MB. I have been running Audacious for an hour or so now in JWM (when it froze it was in Icewm--I don't have any reason to think that matters but who knows).

There are two other versions of the libavcodec, etc., libraries available. Default are libraries that 01micko compiled in luci with ffmpeg. In PPM there are two other versions: 1) a large library that 01micko compiled with support for the new WebM video standard, and 2) a set of the Ubuntu libraries that are optimized for i686 and better computers. I don't believe I have seen any differences among them, but I haven't tested at all. (The libraries that *were* included with the Audacious pet were the i686 Ubuntu libraries plus their i386 counterparts.)

BTW, Firefox 4.0b3 is available in LupuNews (Quickpet) and it says it has support for WebM.

Should I remove the older version of firefox, or will quickpet update to the new firefox?

Right on, Playdayz! Thanks. :D

Is there a list of installed packages that come with Lucid Puppy one can refer to so as to avoid overwriting?

Moderators.

Sorry, but I take exception to l0wt3ch 's avatar. Subliminal vietnam horror images are uncalled for !

I asked him to change his avatar and no response.

I set up my screenshot like this:

1) Create a script called mtpaintnow containing

#!/bin/sh
mtpaint -s &

2) Copy script to /usr/local/bin

3) Add <Key keycode="111">exec:mtpaintnow</Key>
to /root/.jwm/jwmrc-personal

4) Restart JWM

Perhaps you can do the same with Scrot?

@tronkel

Thanks for all the game pets - highly entertaining. :)
Thank you scruffy, I didn't remember where to put the code.
I tried and even directly mtpaint -s in .jwm-personal works.

Hi,

I also agree with tasmod.

Thanks to DaveS for his adblock tip.

Else, the Esc key may freeze animated avatars. This is true for Firefox, but not for netsurf.

My regards

I think also about 30% space for an avatar is a little bit too much.
A little bit greater than usual OK but so much? This means only 70% for posting.

I believe in freedom of choice. Leave your avatar as is if you want.

However, you are giving the casual user of this forum no choice (unless they have adblock). I would suggest, if you feel so strongly, place a link to your video in your signature. That way we all have freedom of choice.

Cheers.

Hi everyone.

I am working on xfce and lxde to see if we can't make all the WMs available to lupu play friendly together.

The starting point is the tray icons and I'm almost there.

Next is the start menu, a little more fun

I'll get there, having a look at NOP for clues  , gray knows his stuff! He also has Boxpup, more clues :D .

In the coming week or so I will upload something useful, and I haven't forgotten wbar either (neither has CatDude  )

Cheers.. and remember, this is FUN!

Hi there! Congrats on another official puppy community release ! 8)
Didn't play with it much but I see many dpup packages I made are compatible with lupu too.

*HINT* on xfce I didn't mention - delete (or rename - backup ) /root/.gtkrc-2.0 for xfce theme manager to fully controll/integrate with GTK - chtheme not needed. (thanks to wow for hint @ IRC)
Nice progress there Mick! 8)
