GMPLAYER for Lupu 5.01 - all dependencies.pet

#1 Post by paulhomebus »

This pet will enable you to stream MMS straight after loading up from LIVE-CD!

Bit large at 15Mb but I am quite happy.

Has all the dependencies required built in.

Just run gmplayer from the terminal once installed....
ie: # gmplayer

(Disclaimer: only for Lupu 5.01.)

PET to be found at...

All fixed bignono1....

BTW I managed to use the X11 driver built in to gmplayer to watch a DVD,
tho I had to add another package dependency... will post about it once I figure out what that was....[/list]

paulhomebus, Cool. I hope you will make some pets for Lucid 5.1 when it is released in a few days. Thanks.

LP 5.1 has the puppy-lucid repo in Puppy Package Manager so we can put new pets there for wider distribution and easy access.

playdayz...

I'm just wondering where I could make suggestion on the Puppy Package Manager.

Alot of people don't use it, and my main reason for not using it is...
1. I don't get an option to choose where Puppy Package Manager downloads the pets.
2. I sometimes don't get more info bout the package before it installs it.
3. I can't resize the window to make the downloaded items window (at the bottom) bigger...

If possible, I'd love to learn how to add this functionality in myself, or re-design.

Also who helps manage the puppy repositories? - Can I help?

Thanks Paul

Can you please consider doing this pet for Lucid 5.1.1? I'm currently trying to get mplayer to work, and it's not really so much fun yet.

Thanks.

Eathray
