from slax modules
Freevo requires the below modules :
Python Imaging Library (PIL) 1.1.5 pygame-1.6.mo tvtime-0.99.mo LWP-and-modules.mo python-2.4-i486-1.mo tvtime-conf-0.99.mo mmpython-0.4.8.mo python-tools-2.4-noarch-1.mo Twisted-1.3.0.mo Numeric-24.0b2.mo pyxml-0.8.4-i486-1dg.mo Perl_HTTP-and-modules.mo smpeg-0.4.3.mo
Why has python been ignored in puppy ? I have tried python package from grafpup but other than grafpup packages such as tux4kids I could not get others running in puppy. I tried to get adesklets, pypanel and one more kids program (it was an alternative to gcompris).
freevo for puppy - hurdles !!

Python Holy Grail
Size is everything
and Python libraries are what 30 meg?
We have Ruby
We have Lua
- the closest
but no one has packaged Python - or have they?
I vaguely remember we have programs that require
Python and so there may be a .pup available?
I have suggested a "developers Pup"
which could be similar to megapup
and include Python if someone makes it available (assuming it is not)
If we included every language we would have no room for Puppy
Our 'official' languages include:
PuppyBasic
Script
Tcl
C
C++
XUL
javascript
actionscript (flash)
Postscript
and x86 assembler
Do we have Python? Can we have it?

Lobster,
I have found one alternative that can become a source of a developers pup.
Read this post about backpack programmers live-cd, also some nice info about the new version by the the maker himself daga
