First I tried OmegaT under Windows 7.
I was disappointed because it lost what I just had typed. It seemed to me to be a data destruction machine and I turned away.

And I was rewarded: I tried OmegaT again, and the ugly duckling turned into a swan.
Works as expected! There are section pairs (source language, target language). In the target language, the section first appears in the source language, too. You overwrite this with the translation and save. In this way, the text is gradually transformed into the translated document.
Not at all I am a native speaker of English. But I have fried. It is one of the few examples that there are actually successful attempts to use artificial intelligence. Otherwise AI belongs to the world of charlatans for me until further notice.
