@ttuuxxx:

WTF are you talking about?
I will say this only once...I made it on my own to match the puppeee wallpaper on my new eeepc. (thank you jemimah and afgs!)
I think it looks better (my blinky and speaker don't have the white background), feel free to use it if you like it better also:)
Take your medication and get some rest.

Hey everybody!

Gnome-like panel, attempt #2..

(Apparently it's not really a theme, just a .jmwrc-tray file)

<Traybutton= ..> values have to be set manually

Code: Select all

<JWM>

	<Tray  autohide="false" valign="bottom" x="0" y="-1" border="0" height="24" >
		<TrayButton popup="Show Desktop" icon="mini-desktop.xpm">showdesktop</TrayButton>
		<!-- Additional TaskList attribute: maxwidth -->
		<TaskList/>
		<Pager/>
	</Tray>
	<Tray  autohide="false" valign="top" halign="center" insert="left" x="0" y="-1" border="1" height="28" >
		<!-- Additional TrayButton attribute: label -->
		<TrayButton label="Menu" icon="mini-dog.xpm">root:3</TrayButton>
<TrayButton popup="Run commandline" icon="gexec.xpm">exec:gexec</TrayButton>
		<TrayButton popup="Free space in drives" icon="mini-hdisk.xpm">exec:partview</TrayButton>
		<TrayButton popup="" icon="/usr/local/lib/X11/mini-icons/xterm.xpm">exec:xterm</TrayButton>

### your tray button codes here

<TrayButton label="         "></TrayButton>
		<Dock/>
		<!-- Additional Swallow attribute: height -->
		<Swallow name="blinky">
			blinkydelayed -bg "#DCDAD5"
		</Swallow>
		<Swallow name="asapm">
			asapmshell -u 4
		</Swallow>
		<Swallow name="freememapplet" width="34">
			freememappletshell
		</Swallow>
		<Swallow name="xload" width="32">
			xload -nolabel -bg "#888888" -fg red -hl white
		</Swallow>
		<Clock format="   %H:%M   %D   ">minixcal</Clock>
	</Tray>
</JWM>

I like your black theme, the only thing it was missing was specific fonts, So I added some fonts code so it wouldn't have the mono font look. Nice theme :)

JWM Start button

#272 Post by UberNoob »

Here is a replacement "Start" button for your JWM tray. To use it, edit ~/.jwmrc-tray and look for a line near the top that look like:
<TrayButton label="Start" icon="mini-dog.xpm">root:3</TrayButton>

and change it to read:
<TrayButton icon="puppystart.png">root:3</TrayButton>

NEXT:
add the file puppystart.png to /usr/local/lib/X11/mini-icons

NEXT:
restart JWM and voila!

NOTE:
The button will autoscale to whatever height your JWM tray is set for but looks best (I think) with a tray height of 32

Enjoy!

:D Hello,
Well, it used to take a minute to make a new jwm theme, but the theme maker is just too easy... :roll: LOL..

This one wiped out my taskbar. It completely blanked my jwmtray files. I can get them back by copying the files from another Puppy but why does it do that?

Also, the start button is distorted. The actual button is ok but the green part saying menu is tiny.[/url]

Works fine for me walter, on my screenie you can also see in console list of files that were in pet, it doesn't have any postinstall script or menu button it's only one jwmrc file inside themes dir and two preview files.

DarkGradient theme

#278 Post by WhoDo »

Here is my DarkGradient theme for Lucid Puppy 5.0 - you will need to add the upup logo to the menu button yourself and select the inbuilt Gradient Grey GTK theme to achieve the overall look.

Weird...I made it with the jwm theme maker in 4.2.1, if that helps. No idea why it would jack anything at all...I didn't even do any tweaking. :?
