ralink rt2870 Sub_title: not recognized by 431 on lenovo s10-2
hoping to use my puppy on this new s-10, rather than winxp it came with -- when i use network wizard, the 2870 driver is not recognized, though it is on the list of modules -- when i load the module, no interface is detected -- for some reason, linux mint has no problem with this, puppy does -- problem is i much prefer puppy
there is a driver on the Ralink site but I have no clue how to install it properly. also a WebUI for it.
http://www.ralink.com.tw/support.php?s=2
its the fourth and fifth link i believe. fairly recent.
microsoft win7 uses a microsoft supplied driver written/sourced-from by WinDDK whatever that is. i imagine it is merely packaged by MS, developed by ??. There is also a wiki page for a linux project to develop Ralink device drivers. the effort is now disbanded as best I can determine. lots of web discussion on it however...

Later revisions of the Ralink RT2870 chipset are more similar to the recent RT3070 chipset, and are supported in Linux by the rt3070sta driver.
Get this driver from -
