Pawm.pup doesn't work?
HI just tried pawm.pup in 1.0.3 bare bones and in 1.0.2 50m.
After installation of pup file:
ctrl-alt-bs to exit X
startx pawm
(X was starting - grey meshed bg; the exiting)
I could not find any specific error message..?
ldd shows all libs are found..?

I tried it too.
Move to the bottom of the screen to activate the menu bar - which seems to be very minimal - just as it says . . .
- eh maybe it is too minimal, all I got was a bar, no menus?

pawm error message
That's the contents of /tmp/xerrs.txt from startx pawm in 1.0.3 bare bones:

This is an excellent full featured non-graphical mp3 player for use
with the console.
It works well with icewm and the aterm dotpup package by GuestToo.
It also works well in command line mode.
There are key binding conflicts with rxvt while running X
at least with F1, F2, F3, F4 and maybe more.
You might be able to work around the key-binding problems with
.mp3blasterrc, but I recommend aterm because I think
it is an easy solution.
To use: simply type mp3blaster on the command line to bring up the
interface.

package you can play .mp3 files from the command-line.
The actual name of this player is 'madplay'. Puppy has a madplay symlink that

PDF Conversion Wizard
I've created a PDF conversion wizard that uses Abiword and Ghostscript in a two-stage process. There is the usual gui interface and a cli, which is a bit quicker.
Once installed, click on puppyPDF to run the wizard, or type
puppyPDF -i <inputfile> -o <outputfile>
I have included a dodge little icon if you want to associate it with the puppyPDF file in /root/my-applications/bin.
I've used functions in the script, which means bash is required for it to execute. I think bash is standard from Puppy 1.0.3 and onwards??

It may be the resolution or some other feature - would be interested in screen shots
Also I do not quite understand the file sizes the forum is reporting? They seem larger than they actually are? What is the difference between the two posts.
