I can't install ANY of your Chrome pets (libs included) on Wary 030.

Any advice? Thank you.

Well I know that they will run in warty so first I would look at ext. does it have a pet ext or had the google server change it to bz. Then next I would down load a file from someone else and test if your system is working with pet. BTW how much free space do you have for google-chrome is not a small program.

Let me know what you find out

All downloads are .bz with .pet inside (tried also Picasa, same thing). Of course I unzipped them before... there's something I missed?

It' an old IBM Thinkpad, 20GB hd all available, 256MB RAM

Tried other pets but only 3G conf updates at the moment, will try others...

Also tried gnome-ppp (maybe old) pet but did not install, compiled it from source but could not get it to connect, while PupDial did.

Thanks

Ok then it is simple just rename them to a .pet ext and install. This has something to do with an exchange between your server and google so changing to a dot-pet will just set things back and all will be well

For those running puppy-4.3.1

#10 Post by GrumpyWolfe »

If you are running Puppylinux-4.3.1 and trying to get this dev pet of Google-Chrome to run there is a issue with linux.cc and Puppylinux-4.3.1 the only fix I have found that will work is you will have to delete the chrome-sandbox. You can find it in /opt/google/chrome dir.

Sorry I wasn't more clear in the last post...

I was hoping this would be included in the package database and on the mirrors for downloading from the Puppy Package Manager.
