Subject description: Unable to connect to internet modem not connecting

I have an old computer with Puppy 4.31 live cd frugal install
Unable to connect to internet using Netcomm mega-i-modem v90
The wizard finds the modem.

I am able to connect with the same computer & modem with Win98 installed.
Thanks for any suggestions.

rakograham,
Thanks for posting your problem. I am the person responsible for modem support. You could help me analyze your problem by gathering more information. The simplest/best way is to first install the 4 packages for 4.3.1 attached to the posting here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=388235#388235

Then use pupdial to "probe", then "ERASE" the current modem selection (so can detection can occur with the updated packages). Reboot and go as far as you can to connect. Then, in a console, type the command: pmodemdiag. That will put a "pmodemdiag..." file on your "home" window" (Click the "home" icon, to see it.). Please attach that to a PM to me. That way I can see what your are up against.
Richard
