How to use driver for HL 2150N printer?

#1 Post by Strampke »

You know I'd love to live with Puppy but life is quite tough for beginners who want to manage simple tasks in Puppy.

Here's my problem.
I've got this HL 2150N printer
I've got CUPS
I can install something like HL something in CUPS and the printer works.
On the internet there are 4 Linux drivers for HL 2150N
I can download these files, but no way I can install these.
First of all I don't know which one to choose and second these cannot be unpacked and 3rd this unrpm program cannot be found or installed.

Can someone give me a short explanation on how to get the Linux driver for HL 2150N into the CUPS driver list so that CUPS is able to install the printer.

Second question: is there a kind of screen grabber like snippy in Puppy?

Third question: is it possible to start good old DOS dBase V in wine?

Can we assume that this is a Brother HL2150 printer?

If so, read here.
