welpe , I really dont have an answer for you . if you have to use xorg you can try to ctrl-alt-backspace and see if it drops you out of x to the command line and poweroff from there. If c-a-b doesn't work you can kill all x in a terminal that should do the same thing. The strange thing is that is what the exit scrips are set up to do.

Joel the wood5 theme is the keeper for me. The white text in the menu's works better than the black .I like the clock better and the pager outlies rocks . Agust did a great job on this theme.

Yes smellyman , A-special-macpup.edj Rocks I really think this is going to be a default later.

here is a Vid of these themes by Sneaky......

I agree, the special theme would be best for the default, but Im partial to the wood one myself.

The Blue Moon theme , stars pop in and fade out at random.

But when the mouse is on the moon the logo fades in and fades out when you move it off.

I will post this one and the black one this weekend.

I know what you mean smellyman (great name btw), its as if Macpup is some sort of serum which brings dead laptops back to life, I was able to get it running on my Pentium 133mhz 80mb 4GB Toshiba made in 1998. It actually runns better than the win98 it had on it before. Razz

not all that well but yeah, I had to turn off all forms of bling, and had to be patient. I think it was shipped with windows 95 now that I think of it.

" I had to turn off all forms of bling" Laughing Laughing

That kind of defeats the whole point of running macpup. Laughing

true, but I was curious to see if I could use it on my old laptop. Ive kept the thing all these years more as a novelty than anything. Im surprised it still works.

I have never posted anything to e17stuff. Mostly cause Agust has alot of the originals there that are mostly neutral distro wise . All of my stuff is for macpup and this place and our forum are the places that most macpup people will look for macpup stuff.
