Lovely work on both counts, afgs! I'm sure Zigbert and Jemimah will be suitably impressed and grateful.

Well done! 8)

license?

#68 Post by mbrhs »

What's the license for all the logos in this topic? I would like to upload them at wikimedia commons.
The author could also do that: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Upload (requires registration)

Afgs, if you're still around and interested in logos, I'm going to be release Fluppy in a month or so. This will be Puppeee, but generalized to support more netbooks. It will need a logo of its own - I'm sure you'd do a better job at designing it than I would, if you want the job. :)

I hope I got it right:

Hi

afgs i hope you don't mind, but i took the liberty to 'Glassify' your upup logo.

In case you are wondering about the px in the names,
it refers to the so called Glass Thickness.

WhoDo these are especially for you mate.

Hi

dejan555, nice link, but i think using the script is easier.

stu90, i don't think a tutorial is really necessary for this.

There is a link to the script i use in this post
as it say's in that post, i use it in GIMP 2.4.6 and do not know if it works with other versions.

It is very simple to use, as you can see in the attached image.

Just have a play about with it, and see how it works.

Works with 2.6.8 edges had to be made transparent though or else it makes glassy effect around entire shape I played a bit with it. I knew there was script somewhere but didn't know where you posted it exactly :D
