USB-to-SD memory card adapter

What works, and doesn't, for you. Be specific, and please include Puppy version.

USB-to-SD memory card adapter

#1 Post by Lobster »

Does anyone have experience of using this SD with a USB connector?

Basically I want to use it with a Agfa 780c and this design would mean I can do without an SD reader (down with clutter) Is this possible or should I get a reader? I tried one before and it did not work with Win98SE - would it work with Linux?

What is the best solution?

Yes, I have a holder that turns into a USB memory stick when you put a SD card into it. It's made by Media Gear and cost me about $10 at Fry's. I've used several brands and sizes of SD cards in it, up to 1GB. It's worked perfectly in both Windows and Puppy on several computers. It's how I get the pictures from my camera into my computer.
