and here's a update of your icewm-dust theme, I made the taskbar better looking because the button was too large and was stretching the taskbar images, also fixed the default font sizes. removed the background, mad some system links, removed extra icons and went from 346kb ---> 57kb

Brilliant, thanks Ttuuxxx, I'll link the original posts to your stuff. I really should have tried to make 'em smaller, but I guess I was feeling lazy and wasn't quite sure what to remove to shrink it. Thanks Ttuuxxx :)

I usually learn from ripping things apart and seeing what does what, lol Probably why I have so many unfinished projects around the house, lol
but if you look at my examples and compare, you should get a good idea :)
fell free to use my theme with the taskbar as a starting point base. If you look at 4.2.1 you'll see my icewm themes actually using parts from one main theme and a couple of new images makes a new looking theme :) I think I had them around 10kb pets when divided up lol

I was reading a page where someone asked for an mplayer theme in the steampunk style. That motivated me to create something for IceWM in that vein. So here is my mod of Golden Mood, to a steampunk-ish style. This only the fifth or so theme I've made (first that I posted) so be kind.

Edit: I forgot to do a few images, I updated the tgz.

thanks for making the pet. Just as with ARu, my schools network wont allow me to upload any .pet because it thinks its some sort of spyware. I cant even attach one to an email. its frustrating. Glad you like it.

@ Zake_ajl,

This is a standard glitch. Everyone has been having this problem in 4.3.1. At least that's what I'm assuming you're using. Just thought to let you know, you're not alone, and it's not your fault. :)

Nice one! GoldenMood makes a great base for more elegant themes.

I was fiddling around with the Icewm package for awhile, but then I discovered Lighthouse Pup. It comes with Icewm preinstalled as well as a most of the programs I use so I just switched. It might be worthwhile checking out. Link is in my signature. Besides that, sorry I have no solution. Maybe someone else will have a look.

Wish someone would credit the original author of the Azenis style... I find that everyone and his aunt is taking credit for what was originally the work of Yingjunjiu, and was first published as a Windowblind and an MSStyle years ago!!!

Here's a Star Trek inspired tweak of Xtreme Animated. The file has been corrected.

You can see what it looks like at the following link.

Just for the record, Jemimah has fixed the Icewm in 4.3 problem. With her new pet, menu icons appear and she's put in a shutdown menu. Thanks man!

walter, seems like it misses taskbuttonminimized.xpm I made a symlink to taskbuttonbg.xpm

Anyway, for dpup users I just compiled icewm 1.3.6, see here
It renders themes nicely.

Don't know if it works for other puppy versions, you can try if you feel like.

Sorry about that. I'll re-up the full .zip tomorrow. I had the file in two places and must have grabbed the wrong one. I was experimenting and must have forgotten to transfer it.

I have corrected the file. Look above to my previous post for the download.

Pa Penguin's Favorite IceWM Themes: GoldenMood, QuanX, Velvet themes, Elberg themes, LightHeart themes, SmoothCopper, LiQuid, IceQua, Icemucha, and more--screenshots and downloads (.pet and .tar.gz, approx. 2 MB) available at Pa Penguin's Icebox (http://www.pa-mcclamrock.com/themescheme.html).
It's stupid to use inferior software for ideological reasons.

Another (tweaked) theme--IceXimian3

#220 Post by Ibidem »

Here's my own tweaking of the IceXimian2 theme. I like it for the colors and for its narrow titlebar/taskbar (has 14 pixel titlebar), which work better than usual on a 1024x600 screen.
The differences are small (a little transparency, a few symlinks replaced, and my own menu drawn in mtpaint), but I changed the name.
Posting it in standard tar.gz format, for those who don't have Puppy.
