I agree that jpg is the way to go, but personally I like it when people also make available the perfect .png image. That way if I want to resize it or make any modifications to fit my requirements I can do so with no compound quality loss. Also, sometimes their idea of what is an acceptable compromise between size and quality goes well beyond what I can tolerate. If they also provide a .png, I can recompress it myself to whatever I think looks good.

Making both .png and .jpg available may be more hassle than some want to do, which is perfectly understandable. I'm not demanding it, just providing my viewpoint. (In fact, I don't think I've used a wallpaper from here in several years. No offense or anything. I just went wallpaper crazy when I was in highschool and discovered DeviantArt. I now have over 360 MB of wallpapers, most of which I've never used in the five+ years since I got them. (Though switching to dual screen has nearly doubled the rate I burn through them.) So now I don't download very many new wallpapers anymore, unless they are really good, or fit into a genre I don't have many of.)

Just cruising through and wanted to comment upon Tux's new trash icon above...

SUPER!!

I wouldn't care what size that one was Tux - it's just far better than the Rox original! Thanks for your work Tux as the quality you put in does and you've really done so much to raise the level of Puppy - both graphically and in making it more smoothly operational.

Two thumbs up mate!

Now to go and make the switcheroo...

Amicalement/Cheers!

COOL I like the effects, so I changed it to blue and lightened it a bit, looks like rays coming in.

Another great job. I'll see if I can find some Stuey pics for you. I have a few Stuey renders somewhere.
