Turkish keyboard layout

#2 Post by barbaros_akkurt »

Dear friend,

I have just found how to do it and would like to inform the members.

1) Browse to /usr/local/bin
2) Locate and execute the file xkbconfigmanager
3) Hit "OK" then "Layouts"
4) Select "Change" or "Add" to suit your needs
5) Find "tr Turkish" and select
6) Select "Layout Variants"
7) Select a layout and press "OK"

That is it!

ben değişik bir yolla olayı çözdüm.

/etc/x11 klasöründe bulunan xorg.conf dosyasınını klavye bölümünü aşağıdaki gibi düzenleyip kaydettim, restart X dedeim klavyeye TR Q desteği geldi.

.
.
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard0"
Driver "kbd"
Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
Option "XkbModel" "pc104"
Option "XkbLayout" "tr"
EndSection
.
.

Doesn't it appear in the X Configuration Manager (in Setup menu)?

But how can we make this setting permanent? When I restart x - then ok. But after that when I shutdown and restart - again US keyboard - am I doing something wrong?
