No, the extra modules I built for opera wont run in fox 3 svn-version issue with evas and ecore . The libs changed ,re-naming stuff wont work I already tried. The current version of the extra modules are for the .063 snapshot and wont compile with fox 3 (.062). 063 is very unstable in puppy ,That is why I haven't released a new Macpup yet. There is a calendar that is an icon you can use on the ibar that is almost the same thing. Exchange has it.

Oh ok

I think I like the date-in-clock feature better anyway...

I'm gonna dive into a theme this evening I think & have a look around

probably confuse the hell out of me but that's not a particularly rare state for me to be in :?

no doubt there will be daft questions to follow.....

Today is a big day for Fox 3 , Macpup Dingo has been out for a little over 18 months, Fox 3 has been out for 3 months and has past dingo in the number of downloads. :D

The next version of Macpup is under construction and the base is finished. A new build of e17 is underway. And Yes, the "Fat lady" is going to get to sing again.

What if I want to install additional modules into macpup, for example language module?

The e17 language module is one of the extra modules in the e17 SVN . They are for the .063 build of e17 and wont run in fox 3 (.062) . Right now .063 is VERY unstable in puppy linux.

@ algyzas , The next Macpup is going to have a customized version of e17 based on .061 ( cause .063 bites ) And I have the full set of extra modules for that version. Not all of them work very well But I will compile language and see how it goes.

Sometimes people want to use another keyboard layout 8) Hopefully Puppy's Mouse/keyboard wizard is doing the trick setting appropriate keyboard layouts :D But also e17 module would be nice to have to see countrie's flag.

Been having some alsa problems, the updated version works fine but you need to run the alsa setup wizard to get it to work.I may have to go back to the the older version :( , other than that the alpha runs great.

Hi runtt21

Hope you are well & the new macpup is behaving!

I found an audacity PET at puppylinux.ca & I installed it but it doesn't want to talk to my soundcard.

Is this easily fixable do you think or should I try a different package?

I would like to use my acer one as a basic recording studio... I need several audio tracks at once.

I have got musix on a pen drive but I only really need something simple like audacity.

:)

Try running audacity from the terminal and see if it's missing something.

Update on the next Macpup. I have fixed the sound /drivers issues by rebuilding the pup-431.sfs ttuuxxx style.I have a few little things on the jwm side to fix but thats it. I should have the beta built tonight and have the final ready to go this week. Then the QC team gets it .Sorry ,I am running about a month behind.

I checked the dependencies & got this...

(see attached image)

If I get hold of the missing files do you think that should fix it?

Yep you will need to get those .I think you you also need to install JACK . And you might need to use the updated version of alsa. Let me check with sneeky he uses Audacity alot.
