Hi dingo,
many thanks also !
(I just went to get it compiled...)
On the given link is also a gettext.pet available. Is it requested to get poedit usable?
(Uh...! I maybe am misremembering...: is gettext requested for translation with poedit ?)
Cheers, Charlie

gettext is used to convert .po files, produced by poedit to .mo (message files), so I think is needed

Hi dingo,
...to convert .po files, produced by poedit to .mo ...
yes...now I remember that in a program I am on the point to make a translation of, there are .mo locales..thanks recalling that!

Now, on my rig (ToutouLinux4.1.2 = french translation of Puppy4.1.2)
I installed the poedit_1.4.2-3_forPuppy412-i686.pet.
The dependencies check asked for

Code: Select all

libsasl2.so
(maybe not present in this specific ToutouLinux)
I then downloaded libsasl2-2.0.22.tar.gz
here (thanks to ttuuxxx !)
http://www.puppylinux.ca/tpp/ttuuxxx/Libs/
and placed the libs under usr/lib/

Woks nice !
thanks again!
Cheers Charlie

That was funny!

Hehe.... The world is a big place: over 8 billion people speak 6,800 languages in more than 220 countries (or states).

Hence the need for such a tool as PoEdit!

Best.
