I've completed a new version of Thnake, a puplet based on 4.31 that is designed for people who want to learn Python and/or Common Lisp. It includes Python 2.6.4 with Tkinter, PyGTK, and the CherryPy web framework, and SBCL (Steel Bank Common Lisp) with Emacs and SLIME pre-configured, the LTK GUI toolkit, CL-WHO for HTML generation, and the Hunchentoot web server.
It's a 163 MB iso file, and can be downloaded from the Thnake website at http://jasonfruit.com/thnake. Please use the contact information at that site to mail any comments, suggestions, or bugs.

Does it have tutorials - perhaps in Parseltongue?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parseltongue#Parselmouths
at the same time as learning the more widespread Python
why not learn the Puppy supported Python like Genie
http://puppylinux.org/wikka/ValaGenieintro
Good luck with this - great initiative

A`python.sfs version or a wxpython.sfs package would simply be superb!!!

Yeah, I'm here --- and don't call me "buddy".
I suppose I could add wxPython, but I don't use it myself, so I didn't really consider it. I know Guido says it's the stuff and all, though, so maybe next release. As far as releasing packages, I'll probably do that soon, once my current move is completed.
